Why invest money in a cure when you can make billions off people through ineffective treatments? Greed has taken a hold of our country and it sickens me.
This line of thinking doesn't make sense. If there was a cure for cancer companies would be idiots to keep it a secret or stop its development. It would be a blockbuster medicine, the stock price of such a company would go through the roof.
Case in point, immunotherapy. It uses your own immune system to fight cancer. Spectacular results compared to chemo without poisoning your body.
And it's very expensive.
New treatment -> expensive.
Older treatments -> cheaper, more people can afford it.
Both can co-exist.
