So I recently stop wearing my mask most of the time at stores. I found out a few things in the short time I started doing it. Most stores require you to wear masks, but no one enforces it. The only place anyone will tell you yo put on a mask is right when you come in the store. This is because that is the approved "safe" place to do it. No one will approach you further in the store and ask you to put on a mask. That is because most people fo not want a confrontation. Karens excluded.
I even walked past managers and upper management and no one said anything.
Actually the only time I put my mask on was a small gamestop and the guy at the register was insistent. Understandable, I'm not a complete asshole.
Its an interesting study on the way people act. The front if the store being the only "safe" place to ask someone to wear a mask is particularly interesting.
I even found out that you can just ignore them and they don't press it further. No one wants conflict.
I can speak for most store employees. We don;t want to wear them either, but are forced to or we lose our jobs. Most of us won;t bug you cause we wish we could do what you do. NOt everyone is like that though, and drink the kool-aid.
