I fucking hate all of the stimulus bills; not only are they bad economics, but I've known far too many people who can't get the stimulus checks for one reason or another.

This is the future. With UBI, everyone becomes dependent on the government, and they can turn that spigot off the moment you do/say something they don’t approve of.
