Now we see the real reason he became blacklisted in Hollywood.

Was thinking the same. This makes more sense.

I think it had less to do with that and more to do with his anti-Semitism.

it's not anti-semitism to point out jews run hollywood when they literally do

how long do you think weinstein would have been able to get away with what he was doing if his last name was O'Shaughnessy

When you question the eternal merchant it's always antisemitism, especially in their neighborhood. I think a lot of people are forgetting (((they))) run Hollywood so (((they))) make the rules.

what a normie and simplistic explanation.

Hey man I'm just calling it how I see it. The jews run Hollywood. If you so much as fart in their direction you're getting blacklisted. Its normie and simplistic because that's the way jews are.

Never heard him talk with an accent before. I know I’m probably the only one but it caught me off guard.

You must be young.

Actually no I’m not, which is why I’m so surprised. I grew up without cable tv or internet. Only had 4 or 5 channels. Never heard him speak outside of movies until later on when he didn’t have the accent. Watched Mad Max as a kid but it probably didn’t register then or I just thought it was part of the acting.

Indeed. Mel had his Australian accent in the Mad Max movies.

It'll fade over time.

I moved to the states when I was younger for three years. (Near philly)

Moving out there, everyone noticed the british accent.

Move back home, get called a fcking yank all the time and have peicks singing yankee doodle dandy.

You slowly adapt.

For years, Arnold Schwarzenegger used a speech coach to stop his Austrian accent from fading, because the accent was a major part of his image.

Mel Gibson is a natural born American citizen, but his family moved to Australia when he was 10 years old I believe. He started using an American accent again when he starred in Lethal Weapon.

He’s American...

Mel was spot on. He saw what was coming long before most people.

I posted from my phone and it auto-corrected decades to decades. Unfortunately, you can't edit thread titles.

Obviously racist and xenophobic. Honk! Honk!

It's really been no secret that corporations have been playing both sides for profit. I think we all knew this. Props to Mel for saying it out loud back then.
