Wow! Every public high school should have a mandatory class which teaches this.

Words of patriotism and true love of country and the importance of maintaining it will never age and will always stand true. This is an awesome reminder and good reading for our youth.

Ex military and this shit is making my blood boil.

All the sacrifices made during WW I and WW II, to allow be trampled from within is unacceptable.

Ready to rumble.

The enemies our grandfathers fought against and beat back, put on political uniforms. They couldn't beat them on the battlefield, so they are trying to take us down from within.

If politicians aren't America first, then they aren't Americans.

You are welcome! I still find the words in this letter chilling and hold true now as much as they did over 100 years ago

It must be from WWII. Wahl was a Brig. General then,

good catch. what really tipped me off was the line about fighting nations of "hate and intolerance." i didn't know Germany was seen through that lens so early (this was likely written around 1945). i thought extensive discussion of WWII atrocities did not happen until well after the war had concluded.

World War 1

WW1 was a terrible and pointless war that had no good guys. Nobody in Europe, and not the US.

I am very conflicted about this post, because the message is very true, but it is as true about the US government at that time as about any other country in Europe. The US had no business being in that war, and had no business sending its citizens to die.

I’m told when he came back home he suffered terribly from shell shock, what Is now referred to as PTSD. Their oldest son (my uncle) was born during prior to the great depression ended up fighting in World War II where he lost his life. He had to live that the rest of his days

That's terrible, man. I am opposed to war in general. The Revolutionary War, The Civil War and World War 2 were justifiable and necessary wars. Despite my opposition to war, I also believe that a second American Civil War would be well worth fighting, if it truly came down to it.

I hope the US continues the course set by Trump, and strengthens its military while using it only when threatened.

Nobody should lose life and limb in service of warmongers like Biden, Obama and Bush.

What an awesome piece of history to have and to be able to celebrate the heroics of your grandfather with. The greatest generation indeed. Our generation is failing them badly.

Uhh am I the only one bothered by the use of "intolerance and hate" in that letter? Plus the request to snitch? That seems awfully reminiscent of the Cultural Marxism of today. I mean it's been written by wise men, sages, saints and prophets for millenia that evil demands tolerance until it has enough power to destroy the good. We are here today. To negotiate with evil means to be tolerant of it and thus complicit in the evil. The only correct response to evil is to destroy it. That implies hating evil. Is that why evil accuses us of hatred and intolerance, to goad us into accepting and tolerating the evil, making us complicit? Giving our consent?

I don't know about you, but child rape, murder, ritual sacrifice and cannibalism elicits hate and intolerance in me. The only correct response is to destroy it.

If any of you have swallowed barrels upon barrels of red pills, then you will know that the World Wars were mostly a 3 way human sacrifice of white men. American Civil War and the Napoleonic Wars, same story. If this is old news to you, then you will know what I am getting at here, and why I am bothered by that phrase, which was used more than once in the letter.

Sigh. It's all so tiresome. OP's point to remind us that freedom isn't free stands, frens. I am just here to remind you that good men doing nothing gives consent to evil to do evil.
