We’re never fucking going back to normal. My company just announced that we will be shifting to a work from home workforce permanently. They are literally terminating the lease of our huge downtown office because they know we’re never going back. There is going to be a “new normal” no matter what happens with this election. That’s why we have to make sure it’s a based normal instead of a cucked normal.
My firm just bought at home computers for all employees. Doubt they'll want to continue paying $20+K rent every month. Will also save on parking/bus passes too.
Don’t get me wrong, I fucking love working from home. That’s been the best thing to come out of 2020 for me. But it happened really fucking fast with no real transition period. They announced that we would be “temporarily” working from home on a Monday afternoon, then gave us Tuesday to come in and get our things.. haven’t been back since. That was back in March. I adjusted pretty well but it was a huge shock for a lot of people.
I still haven't even been allowed back in my office to get my shit. Silicon Valley loves their covid fear almost as much as virtue signalling about white fragility or some equally retarded shit.
Yeah my brother works for a huge hospital group as IT manager and he is working from home forever. No plan to ever make him come into the office. He loves it! Of ice real-estate is going down hard next year.

Most of the "new normal" crap is just that; crap.
But WFH was coming no matter what, in the same way that buggy whip manufacturer collapse was inevitable. 2020 just accelerated the process.
