Rest assured, MANY of those under those masks know it's fake and sick of it too. They are just normal confrontational types or being pressured by women in their lives, thus keep the peace. I've been maskless since the start, and get far more knowing positive looks than stares. Voted without a mask, of course the workers have to wear one, and got harangued by a Karen, told her off, and suddenly, among the poll workers, I was the cock of the walk, smiles, friendly comments.
THEY KNOW. Don't hold their compliance against them, they are just too nice and soft for their own good, keep being a good example for them and they will eventually explode into "not so nice any more." Good.
