We aren't a professional news site (or professional anything). We are first and foremost a 24/7 online Trump Rally in the spirit of the old 4chan culture. Our culture reflects that. I don't know who you were recommending us to, but I will assume they would be "normies". IE: Not in image board culture. So going from, lets call it white bread, political/news websites to something like this is a huge culture shock that will drive those people off.
I always warn the people I refer - remind them to keep a sense of humor and tell them what "pede" means. I tell them it can be wild and "inappropriate" at times, but it's a great source of info. Still, not many "get it".

I referred a trump supporter here to keep her hopes up and the only thing she said was “I saw a whole bunch of frogs and I didn’t quite understand. It was interesting but couldn’t follow what was going on”. I had to explain to her that it is a mix of humor and news discussion that is pro trump. That you have to use the sorting tools to view what posts you want. Had to explain the upvote system.
I realized I need to do better explaining the site to older gen xers and boomers.
at this point, you need to recognize that alot of this stuff is intentional to make us look bad. the pepe memes are great, just that they are our inside joke. but the constant posting of the same trash posts over and over tells me there are people purposely doing it hoping to bring us down. take the Frankfurt raid and schiffs arrest. what became of them? yet people posted about them so much, people not focused began believing the hype. it is going to be a rough ride to make it until the 21st.
And the ones who have taken the red pill, slowly introduce them to Hot and probably get them to watch the Can’t Stump the Trump videos to show them where “pedes” came from lol
I notice a lot of clickbait titles. I just now saw one called breaking. Only for the text to be about wasting time watching the truck instead of posting about guns or some crap. When I see breaking as a headline, I expect it to be breaking news
Tell them to focus on the 'TOP', 'HOT', and 'RISING' tabs. New gets a lot of shills that only muddy the waters. It's our digital front line.
