You are correct. Each state's electors are presented. If one senator and one representative object to the electors with justification, then each chamber goes to debate separately. Both the house and the senate must agree to the objection by majority vote (full vote) for the objection to stand. This will never happen because the house where the dem's have the majority will never agree to the objection.
I think there is a decent chance Trump and Pence can put the commies on the defensive but it does rely on Pence calling into question the certified electors. Having SCOTUS make a determination in PA would help big.
