A small group of ruthless fuckers with military hardware (explosives, heavy equipment, mounted machine guns) would shock and awe the crowd into submission.
If they prepare and actually set up defensive positions, there's no way to win with civilian equpment unless people fearlessly run into the killbox in such numbers, climbing over mountains of gore, that they are able to overwhelm the positions.
I really don't think the unwashed masses would have that kind of conviction.
This is all assuming you can even get to DC locked and loaded, or at all, to set this up.
And let's say somehow it all succeeds... what happens after you've got all the members of Congress swinging from a rope? Freedom and victory for everyone? Lol, no. It'd just become the inciting event leading to a massive civil war, where other countries would probably get involved, and who knows what the US military itself would even do.
All I know is China would LOVE it if the US self-destructed like this.
