I think the best we're going to get for a while sub-parties within each party which I feel is healthier than what we've had for our democracy. The way I see it, the GOP will likely stay intact down the line but will end up reformed while the Democrats either implode or some how hold themselves together by continuing to deceive the desperate & stupid. I think the real war that we will eventually need to take a more active approach in fighting is helping straighten out the Democrats. We need to eventually take the progress we've made with people like me who were the punk skater kids growing up in places like California & start winning over those who been kept in poverty by Democrats for generations.
Gradual slide my ass - there will never be the possibility of electing anyone that represents any of the MAGA platform again. The communist stole this election brazenly. They will do the same from now on. Elections truly will be just a matter to keep koolaide drinkers busy guzzling the koolaide

I don’t see how it’s possible outside of an authoritarian one party system like China or everyone in America installing neural oscillating synchronizers so we can become the same person.
