That's bullshit. The impoundment act language is plain as day - it creates obligations on the part of the President, not Congress, to justify why he will not spend money. It basically allows him to delay spending for up to 45 days unless Congress acts to remove the spending from the bill, which you can rest assured they will not. And 45 days is well past Jan 20th, at which point, our only hope is that Trump finds a way to stay in office, otherwise the sleepy zombie will be redistributing all of our wealth faster than you can say "marxism sucks".

The thought of Biden administration spending all this money is horrifying.

The thought of a Biden administration is horrifying and demoralizing all in itself.

This is just my hot take on it. So Trump holds the rats at bay for 45 days. This is assuming he's still in office on the 21st. What's to stop from just trimming all of this shit from the budget? Just dismantle foreign aid like he did in 2017 or redirect funds per policy. This slows things down a little at least. Another thought: if some of this is pay off for the voter fraud, and it all comes out, won't this point be moot? Again, just spit balling on this...

Payoff doesn't invalidate the entire law, even if every single person voted for it.

It would require Congress (what's left of them) to reconvene and repeal it in that scenario

Right, point taken. What I'm speculating is in a nuclear option scenario, where the fraud actually gets laid out. It might not, not ever. Trump could be inaugurated by who knows what sort of machination. It probably will never all come out "officially."

Well said. But Trump's actions at this point are balanced on a knife edge. He is not bound to the old GOP saw that this or that trillion is the breaking point that will collapse the US. The continuation of his administration is something that will generate that much and more wealth.

delay spending for up to 45 days

which takes us past Jan 6th. The crowd will back his redlines and his policy. He has done his best to convince everyone that Washington DC shall be a 'populous' city on that day. This will be the greatest Electoral turnout in history. This is literally the Last Defense of the Electoral College. Forget 'replacement voters' and 'fraud' -- in four years of Biden the megacities will finish the Compact and we'll start strictly 50%+1 popular vote on the path of the French (no offense intended but city-mob-rule is a bad road).
