Trump brought up huge issues with the bill and exposed how congress is screwing over the American people. Democrats and MSM tried to paint Trump's veto as him screwing over Americans. All Trump's veto could do was expose congress and cause an uproar amongst the people. It was going to get passed whether or not he vetoed it and whether or not he remains president. Now with Trump passing the bill he takes away the Dem and MSM complaint of him screwing over the people. All that's left now is a mad population of both Dems and Repubs who's anger is directed at congress and this anger plays in better with the vote tomorrow when congress screws us over more and plays in better with a more dramatic turnout and anger on the 6th.
Trump is not a sellout. He is not betraying us. Congress has the votes to override the veto. Now their ammo against Trump is gone and all that's left is Dems and Repubs watching Congress screwing us over tomorrow.

If he crosses the Rubicon before the 45 days are up and ousts all the corrupt ones (i.e., 99% of the people in DC, including aids and lobbyists as well as almost the entirety of Congress, CIA, and FBI), then no, it wouldn't matter.
