I think there will be some changes simply because this has turned into an optics nightmare for congress. This was a "we have to pass it to see what's in it bill" and now they have to own it.
45 days is a long time. A lot can happen between now and then.
Just looked at it quickly do you happen to know when the fiscal year ends? because it sounds like this bill can hold the funds 45 days and if it goes past then of the fiscal year the money is lost.
I could be wrong and maybe the fiscal year doesn't end for some time but if it does end sooner than 45 days then this just might be a brilliant move!
Yeah i just looked that up. Well I think he was unwilling to kill unenjoyment for all those out of work due to covid. Hopefully some of the waste will be cut out due public outcry.
Well i sure can't take the R's in congress commitments seriously. All that money going overseas? Its gotta be getting funneled to bad actors. In any event its such a crime to spend that money with the shape our roads and bridges are in. Not to mention we have no high speed railways and increasing poverty that never gets addressed properly. Regardless of how you fell bout our poor I would rather see programs to help them than spending 33 billion to promote democracy in Venezuela. The country is so broken. If the democrats get their way we will all need welfare programs.
Put simply, if the President wants to spend less money than Congress provided for a particular purpose, he or she must first secure a law providing Congressional approval to rescind the funding in question.
