Yeah, to me it's not about 230 either, it's about saying Fuckbook and Twatter are publishers. I did see that proposal and it's an interesting tie into the existing law. Why sensor anything if it doesn't break law already created by elected representatives...

I agree that simply removing 230 would be a step backward, but a proper revision or replacement would be great if it addressed stuff like what you're listing here.

There needs to be clear separation between a Public Platform (which accepts all free speech, only limits based on the laws, and could accept public funding) and a Private Platform (which has internal rules that are agreed to and is either out to make its own money or follow its own passions/interests). We cannot have entities claiming to be both at the same time, just like how I cannot both be an owner of a home and a renter in it (rent to myself, receive rent writeoffs).

Wait you mean I can't do that? Because I started a side business and built a 1600 sq ft shop that my business pays me rent for. It's an LLC though so all income, though pass through, is still recorded and taxed. I digress.

Anyhow on the topic you make a lot of sense. I'm not saying 230 couldn't use revision, but I am saying that clearly FB and Twitter are publishers.

Totes. At this point, it would nearly be impossible for them to deny if they were properly squeezed by legal teams under oath instead of the B.S. we have been getting for years now with Congressional "Hearings". Hearings indeed; all TALK with no action!

TD is a forum for and supporting Donald Trump. YT and Twitter are media platforms. If they came out officially as forums for and supporting Communism, they wouldn't have the power they do, I would think.

Well now that's an interesting take on it. I hadn't considered the term forum because I was focused on the 230 part. Though interestingly enough I do think I read a study about how how forums/platforms when left unmoderated tend to lean more towards the right. That being said why would people want to deport others for a difference of opinion or lack of full context? Seems like an educational and/or opportunity to change minds instead of ending up with a constant pat on the back circle jerk that has become twitter.

Nice try at a narrative. Gosh, I feel guilty.

TDW doesn't work with the RNC, China, or try to throw an election. TDW doesn't constantly spew lies/hide truth or coordinate with MSM/other social media. TDW doesn't resemble Soviet media. That's why YOU are banished.

You haven't heard of this guy named Hunter have you?

"Hypocrite! Hypocrite! Waaaaaaaaa! Hypocrite! Waaaaaaaaa!" Infantile moral superiority. My ass. Typically lib' Piss off.

Sounds like a high school drama club. Nobody invited you. Go away. Don't you have to go study?

Whahaha, see you're exactly the type I am talking about. You notice how everyone here was having substantive conversation until you showed up?

Perhaps you should check my history, I've been here since opening and was originally on TD in 2016 under the same name. Literally everything you just said is laughable. Then again I don't want to stomp on your emotional rant. Please carry on, I'd like to hear more of your infinite wisdom.

Edit: down vote for emo, low IQ faggotry.

We're on the same side folks. I wish people would save the aggro for the actual enemies. Thoughtful debate is necessary to develop informed unified strategy. Infighting, with malice and insults among us is beyond counterproductive, it's divisive and depletes the general morale. I try to remind myself of this daily.

Oh don't worry, I have plenty of aggro for them. Some of us are already making plans for our families while these idiots are complaining about dumb shit online.

I can't speak to 230 implicitly, as I have not read it.

Is it okay for ultrapowerful globalists helping in facilitating lockdowns, suppressing Covid related info, implementing iron-fisted control of the spread of actual news, even to the point of complete information blackouts, to operate with impunity?

They are literally deplatforming and deleting messages and info coming from GEOTUS. We aren't talking about old time grassroots news sites. What about search engine algorithms and results being skewed for political and financial purposes, to the point where they are swaying elections and markets? It's positively Orwellian.

The tradeoffs justify action. Defend the Republic.
