I need to look into it some more, but I've been really hesitant to go towards a prosecutor career path. I don't want to be forced to prosecute someone for what I believe to be the victim of unconstitutional laws. I don't know if I'd actually have the kind of descretion that I would need to keep myself morally clean, if that makes sense.
There are tens of thousands of new lawyer created a year and how many of them have you heard of making a difference? Forget, lawyers but people too. Most people can't even name more than a handful of people in federal politics. Fact of the matter is that any single person's ability to truly make a difference on a large scale is slim to none.
Just be an honest lawyer. I'd recommend get a few years experience at a decent size firm then starting your own practice and just ensure you do ethical work, charge people an ethical price and make a difference by just being good toward your clients. In your spare time, maybe you can pickup some pro bono work or start some sort of side-project in an attempt to make a larger difference.
Don't get too caught up in thinking large-scale and instead focus on the little things on a small-scale such as just ensuring you don't overcharge a client or give them poor advice in an attempt to maximize profit. Those small differences are how you truly make a difference.

I'm hoping to find a like-minded legal firm or prosecutor's office. Hopefully it's not as rare as I'm making it out to be.
