Freedom of speech is a double edged sword, but it must be maintained as one of the founding tenets of our constitution. The better idea has to win through popular demand, or our republic cannot function properly. I think the more readily identifiable threat to the comatitution is the ability to create the image of popular demand through a corrupt mainstream media and rigged elections.
