I lost my fucking mind having that talk with my dad. Like full bore, roaring mad, "how can you be so fucking stupid you're my father!" stuff.

One of the smartest people I know and his head is so firmly planted up his ass that he forgot how testing works.

It's a shame. I know so many intelligent, rational, sensible people who have bought this farce hook, line, and sinker. Like, really smart people. Fear makes people act irrationally and the propaganda has worked.

Deluded !

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Some of the smartest people I've met have absolutely NO common sense, ability to think rationally or think with their emotions. I've found in life there are "book smart" people and "street smart" people. Those who have a balanced combination of both tend to excel in life.

Emotions override the ability of rational, distanced examination. That's why - they're broken that way. And our goal as individuals needs to be to a) be aware of this degradation angle b) guard against it.
