my great grandfather helped start a anti-propaganda nonprofit, which was pretty much shut down at the beginning of World War II. You can still find traces of it here and there, but you have to actually go looking.

Very cool! It saddens me that 'propaganda' has become a dirty word. Propaganda is a tool that can be used for both good and evil. Check out murdoch murdoch if you want to see the modern iteration of it being used for good.

The politically correct word is "Public Relations" - see Edward Bernays, the pioneer of after-the-war propaganda.
