They are done by people who would like to think they are online celebs. They are not. They are an insult to every artist who is not working.

Fucking right. I'm a musician, and my entire year was cancelled. Was within an inch of becoming a home owner, and that got ripped away. Was ready to settle into a solid plan, and now I may be forced to leave and become a political refugee. 2021 has a fairly full calendar for me at the moment, but I anticipate seeing that disappear starting in February.

Meanwhile, I see videos of cops shutting down businesses and cuffing business owners, saying, "I understand, but . . . " No you don't fucking understand a goddam thing, because your job is secure. Same to the doctors and nurses who smirk and say, "I understand . . . " Sanctimonious pieces of shit, every last one.

I’m a freelancer. Was laid off in Feb. we’ve had to get by on hubby’s job.

We are crying out for deliverance.

14
Rufus_Shinra 14 points ago +14 / -0

There's a website called Freelancer.com where you can find all sorts of freelance paying jobs if you have computer skills. Also, I've made quite a bit of money over the summer going to estate sales and yard sales, buying up items for cheap and selling them on eBay. Especially estate sales. I found an old phone from 1913, old 1800s recipe books, vintage tech from the 1980s which sells surprisingly well. Anyways, just wanted to drop some advice for extra money making opportunities outside of the workplace.

Yes this is the shit that everyone is afraid to say. The Frontline workers aren't Brave, they're entitled shitbags. If they were brave they'd be protesting in the streets to end the LOCKOUT against Blue Collar Workers in the USA, or else THEY (health care "pros") GO ON STRIKE. Thats what Brave Doctors would do. And then perhaps Americans would wise up and stop destroying the lives of their fellow countryman by starving them, bankrupting them and turning common honest citizens into OUTLAWS.

'Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men.'

'When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men.'

Beijing isn't the source of our problem, at least not directly. We should nuke Hollywood and the Bay Area.

I’m glad they’re doing these dances though. It’s just another way people are getting redpilled and enraged with all this BS.

EXACTLY! I know lots of healthcare workers. Hell up until three years ago I was a healthcare worker (pharmacy tech). I couldn’t do it anymore because We were ALWAYS understaffed. It’s by design so the CEO’s could get more bonuses I suppose. Nevertheless we (nurses, doctors, every healthcare worker) never even had time to eat a meal much less choreograph and videotape a dance routine.

7
ChickNorris 7 points ago +8 / -1

pharmacy techs are heroes just for dealing with the public and the companies you work for. I feel for the pharmacy techs. truly underpaid for what they have to deal with.

(unless working at an independent pharmacy.)

7
TNTater 7 points ago +7 / -0

I worked at a hospital pharmacy that wasn’t open to the public. I made IV’s as well as picked out drugs to fill the orders. Before that I watched people on telemetry heart monitors in which I worked closely with nurses as well as doctors. They all would get so overwhelmed and stressed because of their work overload that they would literally cry. Just the female.....the males would just get hostile and become A-holes, but because of everyone’s stress level I understand. This was years past before Covid. So throw Covid into the picture and things should be devastating....although I’ve heard it’s not any different at the hospitals than before. This tells me that most of Covid cases are most likely flu and good old fashioned pneumonia. My mom has a friend that manages a lab and say 30% of the tests give false positive results. People that die from car accidents are tested and show up positive. I don’t trust the covid tests.

9
nwainil [S] 9 points ago +9 / -0

not enough people are talking about what the total number of minutes (hours?) these people spent to learn & practice these lame routines... you're a dance instructor, what's your estimate?

7
nwainil [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

Depends. Some are just slinking around in a group...others like this? At least several hours from learning to practicing to execution. Probably did several takes before they posted.

7
sagebrushfire 7 points ago +7 / -0

Probably did several takes before they posted.

This. Even if they ARE shitty because they’re not professional dancers, the point that is beyond enraging is that they HAD to have spent time PRACTICING and ATTEMPTING the dance itself.

“Hannah, did you check on Mr. Cusberson in 285? He needs to be moved from his bed every two hours or he develops sores.”

“Yes, yes, one minute. We’re almost done. We almost have it down.”

Hospitals are designed to be full so they can make money.

Wait hospitals are FOR [email protected]!?

4
CousinEddie 4 points ago +4 / -0

I'm a lean six sigma consultant who gigged at a hospital for a bit.

Its no different than any other manufacturing. It costs a ton of money for the equipment and personnel so you need a baseline of filled beds to break even. We create a slush factor for unexpected events but overall, modelling the sick is like modeling anything else. Supply of patient stays consistent once you've got enough data to run with.

The real kicker is that you must be constantly upgrading equipment so the facility can not only treat patients, but become a wanted destination for new patients. That equipment is massively expensive and depreciation is equally huge.

Think about the video card market but in the tens of millions of dollars. Those cards cost a shitload and once theyre a few years old they're worthless on tbe resale market

WENT TO THEIR HEADS

74
nwainil [S] 74 points ago +78 / -4

I know a lot of dancers who are in their prime and their careers are ruined. They sacrificed everything only to be mocked by these asswipes. There are students in my community who have worked to get into pre-professional programs only to have those programs ended before they can get there. What does CNN do when Broadway is shut down? Air this crap.

39
SentryS 39 points ago +39 / -0

The real live performing arts have been completely destroyed for the exact reason they promote this shit.

It ruins the culture. It saps the energy of community. Ruining the art.

Art is always destroyed in the revolution. I hope we destroy all of theirs ten thousand times over when we win.

16
nwainil [S] 16 points ago +16 / -0

I have a dancewear store in Illinois. Most dance studios are closed, theaters are closed, not high school dance teams or school plays. I do not appreciate this crap on so many levels. Not to mention how crappy they dance.

4
LostMyAccount 4 points ago +4 / -0

When we destroy theirs, no one will care, because it is mostly garbage.

22
Mozart_K231 22 points ago +22 / -0

Something to keep in mind:

A dancer’s career is usually “over,” by age 35. A fully year with no work is a huge deal.

Also, until these people put on a production of “The Nutcracker,” they’re not really dancers, so much as people who have a vague sense of bodily movement and rhythm.

baste_department 12 points ago +12 / -0

Thanks for this - I'm a professional ballet dancer myself and my career has been effectively put on hold for the past year. Luckily I have a job waiting for me once things begin to settle, but knowing that many other dancers have been forced into retirement is seriously disheartening.

8
nwainil [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

I own a dancewear store now as I am retired from dance. It makes me sick to see all the sacrifice young dancers have made especially those who have gotten into pre professional programs just to see everything fall apart. My brother works for Cirque in Vegas. He is a construction foreman for one of their shows. He has been out of wok since this began and the Cirque shows are so expensive to run that he doesn't know when they will be up again.

3
nwainil [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Encouraged by the media. They want you divided. Some people are essential, other people are non-essential.

Four legs good, two legs bad

As much as everyone talks about 1984 and fascism/authoritarians taking over, our decline was much more for shadowed by animal farm, which was specifically written about communism’s insidious nature.

Nurses good, dancers bad. Jobs that require degrees good, jobs that don’t, bad.

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

I'm beginning to come to the realization that none of these dancing fools are actually nurses. Hope they got a big pay check for selling us out.

23
INK11 23 points ago +26 / -3

Seriously this shit cannot be real. Frankly most nurses I know are not capable of doing anything resembling a choreographed group dance by learning it in a few extra minutes at work. Not a knock against nurses, I am one. Even if I could dance well, I'd never take part in this idiocy and I don't know anyone else who would. These are performers, probably paid well to do this. I just can't figure out why. It infuriates most real healthcare workers and they look ridiculous to boot.

15
jennyfrutex 15 points ago +15 / -0

Yeah, I have a few nurse friends I know very well, and they hate stuff like this. Nurses who do thankless tasks like changing bedpans are not in that profession to make cute videos and fish for compliments and praise.

15
Mozart_K231 15 points ago +16 / -1

If I was as exhausted as the media says I was from all the covid patients, the last thing I’d do is burn further energy by dancing, which is exhausting by itself.

Also, nobody thinks this is cool. People can’t go to gyms or out dancing- even with masks- because strenuous respiration can “spread covid at a greater rate,” yet this assholes, can do aerobic exercise while wasting good PPE gear.

We should start posting hospital names and staff names so these people are all publicly shamed.
