The idea that ANY face covering is "good enough" regardless of material is completely absurd and proves in and of itself the pandemic is bullshit. Imagine if you told a cop the bungee cord you strapped yourself in with was "good enough" to work as a seat belt... (media.patriots.win)

Seat belts shouldn't be required to begin with. Manufacturers should be mandated to install them, and people should use them, but you shouldn't get a ticket for not wearing one.

There are times when I drive no more than 1000 feet, where the act of putting on and taking off of the seatbelt takes longer than actually driving, and I would not wear one if there weren't cops parked along the short route.
