There is a roll up door on that building. Kinda of small for a building like that. Not a huge rollup door like to a loading dock but similar to regular garage door. If the elevator was on the 2nd floor and the blast went in that door and up that shaft it could shoot parts out the top? There's simply no way to tell what floor the elevator was on.
