Yes. Most people are waiting for someone else to go first. If they survive then they follow.

Like when I see these videos of someone in a store refusing to wear a mask and arguing, I wish someone would walk up next to them and take their mask off too. Like you say, the 2nd is hard, but then if a 3rd came up, a 4th? That could be the moment.

We need to start doing planned de-masking events. Go into a store with a couple friends, all wearing masks except one. As soon as the person without a mask gets confronted, the other masked friends come up and say "I'm done with this shit too" and take their masks off. It would be a powerful message

1
Gesirisi 1 point ago +1 / -0

I can see that, make sure you stay within a couple aisles of each other. We'd need to actually get off our asses though and not just be on the Donald.Win talking about it. Lol.

Except it is not a law or enforceable law in most states. Let em taze me, I have a great lawyer and medical exemption against the muzzle

1
KiltedTailor 1 point ago +1 / -0

One you are correct, it is not a Law here; but that does not matter, the cops show up, get you for 'trespass', 'resisting arrest', and what ever else they can find, that is NOT the Mask Edict. Source, I know a cop and asked him this question.

Once they have you in their Power--god help you- the courts will not. Neither will your great lawyer. He will be 'bought off' and send you down the river. Think now, of recent events, where have you seen this played out before?

I do not know the Right Answer, but I do know I cannot spend a month or so in jail over this issue; Assuming I do get out of jail on two feet and not feet first.

Look up Soloman Asch, conformity experiments videos

The Asch conformity experiments were a series of social psychology experiments run in the 1950s to explore group dynamics and the pressure to conform in groups.

The Asch effect is the phenomenon of group consensus and social pressure that influences an individual to change a correct answer in reaction to group members’ incorrect answer to the same question. First published in 1952, the experiments’ results document the degree to which the experiments’ subjects were influenced by the opinions...

It's all just a pysop being run on the population

3
marvinthehaggler 3 points ago +3 / -0

The Stanley Milgram Experiments are also instructive and very similar.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment

I would personally not find it surprising in the slightest to find that the ideas for these experiments came to us via.... cough-cough... Operation Paperclip.

Reminds me of this social experiment where they played a beep in a dentist office lobby and had an actor who stood up every time the beep went off. And then sat back down. Other people in the waiting room kind of looked at him weird at first and then started doing it too. The actor left, but the people continued to do it, without knowing why. As new patients would come in, they would follow suit. Occasionally someone would ask "why?" And even though no one knew why/could answer question- they all kept on.

Hahaha... ahhh humans.

17
Bedminster 17 points ago +17 / -0

Agree! Stop wearing them and watch others follow. I did this at Target last night. Walked in with no mask, got the obligatory Karen looks from a few people but nobody said anything. I was in the frozen food section and a guy looked at me and took his off and actually said enough is a fucking enough. People are on the brink with this bullshit and it only takes a few to influence many.

How about a T-shirt instead? That way you don't wear a mask and your T shirt is a red-pill.

You could also make some that have quotes about liberty/freedom. One that says "I'm not a sheep."

Stuff like that. I have a feeling that could even become a lucrative business idea.

Oooo the brand could be called Rebel.

4
marvinthehaggler 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't need any more clothing, that's fer shure.

But I sure did consider purchasing a t-shirt the other day that said "I'm Essential."

I thought that set the proper (sarcastic, ridiculous) tone.

5
WalkFastGoHome 5 points ago +5 / -0

That would send a very mixed message being on a mask.

2
residue69 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'd only put it on when a business asked me to. Fortunately I live somewhere that even though our city council voted for a mask mandate (and is being recalled because of it) no one very few follow it except at Wal-Mart (I needed a cheap bottle jack in a hurry, and yes, I felt dirty shopping there). I've worn a mask twice since this bullshit started and that was to get in the door to get a haircut.

Quote Henry David Thoreau and “Civil Disobedience” and watch the Prog Commie slugs recoil in horror at the usage of a Liberal Transcendentalist to counter their Statist obedience. It’s delightful. Edmund Burke is another great philosopher to quote and throw out there too.

17
current_horror 17 points ago +17 / -0

It's not even that. For lefties, it's a marker of tribe, no different than neon blue hair or a pussy hat. They wear the mask for no reason at all other than it has become the uniform for progressives everywhere. Look at how they wear masks when home alone on zoom calls or in profile pictures. At this point, the mask is a ritualistic vestment for leftists. To them, your refusal to wear it isn't a stand against junk science or three tyranny of the state. You're just saying "I'm not one of you", and that's reason enough for them to destroy you.

4
nutup_orshutup 4 points ago +4 / -0

Good, fuck’em. I’m a Ronin anyway.

1
NobodyLikesSplatter 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think they wear it and demand others to wear it because they want to dehumanize us. It’s easier to be hateful and controlling toward something that doesn’t look human.

Nazi Germany. Shaved all the victim’s heads, made them strip, gave them rag uniforms, starved them. They looked horrible. Easier to gas them that way.

Masks are the start. Next will be an alcohol monitor. Drink to much? You’re a menace. You are limited what you can buy. You get a shot so you get violently ill if you drink. We have that already.

Overweight? Diabetic? Dr gives you a glucose monitor patch. They already have them. You can’t buy certain food or drinks if your stats are bad.

Masks have opened the door for everything to be monitored and controlled. If we don’t stand up now, we won’t be able to later.

For alot of people they sincerely think its just a polite thing to do if someone has a health condition and they are worried.

If they look around and everyone is a 20-40 year old in good physical condition and no ones freaking out at the maskless person, it signals to them that its okay.

But if a pinkhaired heffalump walks in the mask will come on because they can feel the Karen energy like a dementor.

We can also go full retard, show up and protest at places like Costco and Target and Wal-mart (or Newsome’s winery) tell them they are super spreader locations and they should just shut down for two weeks. Surely they would be willing to do that to eliminate this virus once and for all, wouldn’t they?

I’m done being polite.

8
YouKnowWhatItIs87 8 points ago +8 / -0

Not small, I stopped at various places driving back home from Christmas and probably only half the people in stores were wearing a mask. None of the cashiers, people aren’t sure and they see the sign on the front door illegally “mandated” but most people are good and that makes them vulnerable to following orders even though they disagree with it. Not wearing a mask sadly and crazy is a bold statement these days and it may plant the seed for other folks who are lacking courage right now. To date I haven’t had to deal with a “mask Karen” some people are choosing to look like an idiot others aren’t and nobody says anything about it. I am in the South where politeness is a family value, but what’s interesting from my experience up North where people don’t often say hello to strangers in passing, this mask bullshit is creating a dialog albeit in a terrible way.

13
bratt 13 points ago +13 / -0

I am surrounded by mask karens. There is at least one in nearly every store I've been in. I don't understand where you guys live that people are cool with no mask, I need to move. You just literally cannot shop in my area without one. I pull my mask off all the time, I have never made it even 5 minutes without someone telling me to put it back on and being a complete karen. I’ve told a lot of maskholes to shove it. If you’re scared of telling anyone to shove it, there’s probably a good chance they don’t want to confront you. It’s like a game of chicken.

6
Butthurt 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yeah most people either don’t want confrontation, or they’ll back down the moment they’re challenged.

1
Hellann 1 point ago +1 / -0

Maybe we need to start going on the offensive. Ask everyone you see to please take off their mask, as they harm more then help. Haven't they seen the science?

1
Butthurt 1 point ago +1 / -0

1
NobodyLikesSplatter 1 point ago +1 / -0

People don’t want confrontations for the most part. Those videos with the Karens are probably pretty rare. Most people I see at work are so relieved when they find out they can take it off if they want. We do the dance. I ask if they want me to wear it. They say it’s dumb/useless and I agree and we laugh about how stupid it is. I’ve found younger people seem more uptight than older, surprisingly.

I work in a casino in Missouri. If you take off your mask as a guest, they kick you out. They can "kick you out for whatever they want since its private property and there isn't much you can do." If you don't wear 1 as a employee, you can't even clock in.

This is the funny part. All bars in St. Louis are either shut down, or have to shut down by 10 PM. There are a total of 5 casinos in the area, 4 of them can not serve anything, not even water at a couple. I bartend on the weekends at the only casino that does serve alcohol. We have no restrictions and is basically the meeting place for everyone after the bars close. Because of Covid restrictions, we were not allowed to rehire a lot of employees, so we are running with the minimum employees while serving some of the biggest numbers we've seen. So I have no servers, no barback, and am expected to serve 500-2000 people, with no break.

Break 1 rule because of another. It's awful.

4
Socialismsuckz [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

This whole thing is so crazy. We are going to look back at the response COVID especially in blue cities and by dems as insane.

5

it's one thing to talk about not wearing mask and another thing to actually not wear the mask.... we need more people ACTUALLY not wearing it and less people just talking about it. Good on you for setting the example, now lets see people follow the example!

I walked into a gas station, early AMs for my coffee (Starbucks is for cucked faggots) and the cashier goes out of her way to bring me a mask. I said nah, don't need one. She walked away salty and then rang me up for my coffee.

groups of like 8 or 10 people going in without masks wtf are they going to do?

I have been walking in all the places with the stupid "mandate".. I am always wearing the Trump hat. 1 out of many many entries has only ever resulted in "ok, no mask then stay socially distanced as you are checking out"..

4

Not if I want groceriew so I can eat. I live in Michigan... You are barred entry to the stores without a mask.

2
otistoole 2 points ago +2 / -0

Barred how. They got armed guards or something?

4
KAG2020WIN 4 points ago +4 / -0

Anymore, no.. Not that I know of. But a couple month ago, yes. My local wamart had an armed guard out front with all sorts of guns on his jacket stoppong maskless people entering.

3
NobodyLikesSplatter 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, during the initial mask mandate my local Walmart in Tampa had armed guards when they normally didn’t have any at all. Really off-putting. Also, the whole herding-people-through-one-door nonsense was too much for me so I quit shopping there totally.

Walmart IS China, to me. They’re part of the problem and they’ve made a shit ton of money due to the “pandemic.” I feel like I’m not the only one who is done forever with their shitty stores. Remember Ames and Kmart? They died. They were big and they died because they started sucking. Walmart is sucking. Let’s do something about it. Shop elsewhere.

A friend of my sons wanted to meet up at the beach, the mom specified it would be a "socially distanced" get together.

They showed up wearing masks (mom and 2 sons) my son and I weren't masked. At first they seemed a little awkward but within 15 mins the mom had taken hers off followed by the 2 kids. Within another 15 mins the kids were playing normally, digging in the sand together and playing tag.

I've also had this happen in lines while shopping. People behind me in line will take off their mask after seeing me with out one.

Definitely just takes more people saying NO

Hey Ho! its a great movie script- but the real world gets in the way.

Take my insignificant State-Maine. It has MANDATORY MASK EDICTS INDOORS AND OUTDOORS. I walked into a 'big box store' sans mask. At once, I was chased down by two workers, MASK OR DIE routine. After arguing and ignoring them to finish the purchase, I got 'banned" which is a non event. But they will call the cops on me this time or the next time for this High Crime.

Here is how the Dear Leader of Maine enforces OBEDIENCE to her Mandates. First she has all the COPS on her side, then she FORCES the stores workers to be her informants. If the store does not comply, they are fined big $$ and or closed with the help of the POLICE. And both cops and stores, 'bend over and grab their socks' in the matter.

1
Socialismsuckz [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah it can be much harder in some states. There are some where too many people complied right off so now to change you guys would have to organize on a mass scale.
