People tend to be really bad at politics. This was an excellent play by Trump, stopping Pelosi's attempt to turn this around on him. He will now force our representatives to take specific positions, and the public ire will be directed at them.

Not if the general public is kept in the dark though, and the media will do anything to make it so.

So? The media's control is considerably less than they make it out to be. Look how quickly people turned off Fox News.

Every day more and more people are realizing that the media is not their friend and not to be trusted to the extent they did in the past. We are probably past the momentum needed to get the ball rolling downhill.

This is exactly what the purpose of the first 4 years was. :)

Right. The media covered up the Hunter Biden story such that no one knew about it, what makes anyone think this time will be different?

They have another move. The whole proxy vote garbage means that congress members can claim they had no idea their vote would be used "that way." Granted we learn who the Murkowskis are.

This is the real problem. Apple news headline was something to the effect of “Trump signs Onnibus surprisingly”, and Fox News had a similar headline, with no mention of the truth. They want to hide the fact that he is trying to help Americans because it would sway public opinion in his favor if everyone’s iPhone lit up with the headline “trumps bill would guarantee 2000 dollar checks to Americans and remove unnecessary spending of your tax dollars”

It was a terrible move by trump. He caved. The massive pork bill passed and he signed it into law.

Wrong.

What were his options? Lay it out for me, what exact steps would you have taken, fellow patriot?

And quietly overrided by supermajority.
