My grandma's in the hospital now and they threw me out of the ER.

I was in the ER Saturday and they tried to tell my husband he couldn't stay with me. We both just pretended they didn't even say it. Well... I actually might not have heard it, lol but he did and wasn't leaving.

I'm a diabetic, had been throwing up for 2 days as a reaction to a new medication, couldn't keep my blood sugar up, was barely coherent. They kept insisting that it was an overdose and badgering both of us about what I had taken... He said that he was really convinced they'd kill me if he left.

.... They probably would have classified it as a covid death.

It’s beneficial to have a family member or friend to be with you in the hospital. Nurses and doctors can fuck up, and it’s your loved ones who will truly have your back. At my hospital, a nurse nearly gave the wrong blood to a patient. Thankfully, a family member caught the mistake. They saved the patient’s life.
