If you’re worried about your kid socializing, don’t!

You pay taxes to the school even if you're home schooling. They can take part in any extracurricular activity the school has.

Even in Canuckistan we have that option. My kids don't avail of it, because the gym teacher posts about calling children "theybies" to be inclusive.

Hahahaha, that's a good one.

It likely varies by state, but in mine, if you aren't enrolled in the school, you get nothing. No sports, nothing.

I was home schooled for a year when I was in high school and when I went back I was miles ahead of the kids who had been in school that year.

I have a question about home school since I just had my first kid and my wife and I are heavily considering this. How do you guys plan on handling some of the more advanced classes like late calculus and things like that? I didn't make it that far in math during school because I was to distracted by football, beer and chasing pussy. Furthest I made it was algebra 2 and some trig(flunked trig because I didn't need it to graduate and didn't care). I wouldnt even know where to start about teaching those advanced classes that are now pretty important for a full education.
