I didnt recognize the from address, was from IL had three little loose beads inside i didnt touch them was very weird. i looked it up the company it said it came from Orange Connex i look it up its a freight forwarder from china. https://www.orangeconnex.com/ . Seriously WTF. Nothing was ever answered from the unordered china seeds shit we got last time. Has anyone else gotten strange packages this holiday?
checking addresses to print ballots
Ah the old Chinese mystery seeds. There's plenty of others with your experience, just search around the internet.
I”ve gotten a lot of spam cell phone calls with a woman speaking Chinese. Not as much now but over the last year especially
Got a Really nice Killing Joke hardbound book that covers the history of the band in the mail from England other day that neither the wife nor I can ever recall ordering... If that’s China’s doing, that’s some Insane level psyop work!
No, I read about it but nothing came my way.
Burn them please. It's how certain species of plants are introduced into our country that choke out beneficial plants or vegetation.
Have had this happen as well. Seeds and masks specifically.
If it puts your mind to rest any this seems like a black hat marketing trick more than anything nefarious. My understanding is that they will ship random products out to produce “verified purchases” and then give themselves 5 star ratings on Amazon. This allows shitty Chinese sellers to rise to the top of rankings and outcompete honest ones. It’s scummy but shouldn’t be any need for alarm.
thank you that makes me feel a bit better, it was so creepy that they were loose in the package
Glad it helps. Every few months it seems some version of this pops up. Obviously, be cautious with any package that you didn’t order but it seems this is mostly benign. Essentially online vendors give away free merchandise and improve their rankings to generate legitimate sales. It’s called “brushing” and doesn’t entail anything super dangerous but you may want to be extra vigilant from an identity theft perspective. It’s possible that this could indicate unsavory folks have some of your personal details. Likely they just used public records but if you see other weird things or unexplained bank charges or something then definitely consider looking into ID theft protection.
This was also happening through late 2019. Makes you wonder.
