I used to own a business that sold a digital service, but never had any malware or any problems on it. One day a customer asked us why we were marked as malware. We had to jump through a billion hoops and spend hours on the phone and sending multiple lengthy emails to get some antivirus service to not mark it as spam. It was harming our business to have customers do a search for us and see us marked as malware and containing viruses by a "reputable" firm.
I'd understand it if we had anything even questionable on our site, but there was literally no reason for it. They do know how much power they hold to harm sites. I doubt it's an accident.
To kind of give them the tiniest benefit of the doubt though, lots of companies basically shut down around Christmas and the New Year. It could be an unfortunate cohencidence.
