He said that the source did NOT KNOW if the president knew, which is an entirely different thing. Then he said his friend asked a Trump family member if he knew about it and he/she did not. Do you think that DJT shares all intel with all of his family? I don't. That would be foolish. And finally, it was postulated that it was POSSIBLE that the president didn't know. Possible does not equal probable, especially when you factor in recent changes in the Trump administration like kicking Bill do-nothing Barr to the curb. To me, it looks like the DOJ is poised to act.
Also factor in the possibility that the 'leaker' in this instance was most likely instructed to 'leak' out this information and that he might not be high enough in that intel org to know what the president is or is not privy to, or maybe he wasn't authorized to share what the president knows. But go ahead with your own line of thought, you're free to do that on TDW, right?
