Considering what happened in Oregon when conservatives stormed the Capitol Building...I'm inclined to think this just might be wishful thinking.
But, police are used to crowds that respect their authority and back down after a few get hit with batons and tear gas. I don't think the DC police have encountered a group willing to stand their ground and move the police back by the sheer presence of numbers.
