Hope it works out well for you. My oldest got a full ride scholarship and had a nice childhood climbing trees and being creative. The extra time they get is priceless. That said, there are a lot of good private schools. Before I left work and began homeschooling my oldest did private for a year. The class size was nice, but it was still a really long day for a kid. The homework they assigned even in kindergarten was absurd. 12 years of that often burns them out. It's a lot to weigh for any parent- but a great journey. Enjoy!
Oh believe me, I know. I am a new teacher... my kids will not be going to public school.
I homeschool (one graduate, one to go) my kids. I ran into a LOT of professional teachers that chose to homeschool their oen kids.
I don't personally believe in homeschooling. But, that's just me. No offense to you! I plan to pay for private school for my little ones.
