Out of all the inane and ignorant comparisons to Nazis I have seen over the years, the comparison between this incident and the rise of eugenics as part of Nazi ideology is actually accurate. Ya see, Nazism, as a political and even sort of religious racist ideology, began in the 1920's. However, communists, Jews, Gypsies etc were not the first victims of Nazism. The first victims of Nazis were the mentally and physically disabled. At first, when Hitler had to share power in the Reichstag, the deliberate and systemic liquidation of the elderly, the weak, the mentally disabled was done surreptitiously. Meanwhile, little acts that "made sense" to desensitize the public to the humanity of the disabled started becoming more and more prevalent. For instance, Nazi propaganda would depict a young male doctor standing next to two or three wheelchair bound obviously mentally impaired people, and ask, if it was fair that the doctor had to take care of them. Posters would show rows of invalids tied to beds with young attractive nurses struggling to care for them while pointing out how much taking care of the invalids cost government and society. It started to become a daily feature that there would be harsh discrimination against the disabled (Most EU nations have this sort of harsh discrimination today...try taking a down Syndrome kid shopping in Europe and watch how the people react. They are aghast that the child wasn't aborted). It always starts with somehow thinking the health of society is contingent on disappearing or dehumanizing the disabled. This is how all persecution starts, by convincing the self righteous fools among us that somehow, by getting rid of or disappearing undesireable or inconvenient people, we will make things better for ourselves and the health of our society will be greater. I'm going to tell you this right now...no human problem is ever solved by getting rid of humans. No epidemic is ever solved by liquidating the ill. No societal health is ever restored by disappearing the inconvenient. There is only one way to deal with human problems...work through it and value every human life in the process. Death is inevitable and it comes for us all....no one will escape death but when we push the most vulnerable to their own deaths, either by dehumanizing them or euthanizing them, we sign our own death warrants as a civilization. No civilization that destroys it's own people can thrive. Everyone will be consumed with trying to not be the next group that is targeted and join in the oppression against the targeted group to try to ward off the collapse of everything. It's a fool's errand.

The manager that called the police and had this child removed is far closer to the two bit, anti intellectual, vacuous ideology of Nazism than that manager will ever know. That manager is exactly the type of person that the left empowers and exactly the type of person who should never be given any responsibility over anything ever.

I knew this about the Nazis and much of the discrimination in the EU still exists. I have a disabled child and a few years ago we tried to go to Poland and we couldn't find anyone to accommodate her in the country with transportation or hotels. We didn't go. However, the former Yugoslavian states are doing a lot to accommodate the disabled because they now have a large disabled population from the many wars through the past decades.
