I've worked in the restaurant industry for many years. Every health inspector I ever met was socially awkward and weird. None of them were very good at their job and for some reason it was extremely rare to ever see the same one again.
I have many friends in the restaurant industry. They all tell me the same thing. Even if your place is absolutely PERFECT, they have to make up something to write in the report otherwise their superiors think they weren't doing their job and then they get in trouble. They'll just make up something completely stupid that is technically a violation but mark it was fixed on site. But then it'll show up on your restaurant's records, even though it was a lie.
The hilarious thing? Open up an illegal restaurant without the right permits and zoning? They literally give zero fucks. It doesn't exist in their records, they can't do anything about it?
The cops are part of the problem, but it's also these county health departments and their inspectors. They all seem to be run by corrupt leftists.
