I just read that the Hotel Herrington is canceling reservations of guests for 1/6....this is one way to "shut us down." However a fellow member stated that we are a resourceful bunch and that people would be bringing food trucks, BBQ pits, passing out water etc and that we would be ok even if rooms got cancelled.
Cool. About the only thing I’m worried about is a wall of LEO’s in riot gear blocking me from going where I should rightfully be able to go. I don’t know how I would get around that.
I experienced it a little in Denver a few weeks ago. We abruptly took off from the capitol building to march to the abandoned Dominion office, several blocks away. They immediately swung into action with big SUV’s, running boards lined with 6 or 7 cops on both sides. They parked these things sideways right across the streets they didn’t want us to go down.
I think they were actually channeling us down routes where they knew they could keep us safe. The cops in Denver were definitely on our side. I don’t know what we’ve got with the DC cops. Or what kind of orders they’re going to be given.
