Serious question. Do you have some knowledge of exactly what “shut down” means? I’ve never been to DC. What does that mean for those of us staying near the capitol? Will we not be able to get to our hotels? We will be allowed on the streets if we’re already in the hotel? What about myself, I’m rolling into my hotel in Arlington on Tuesday afternoon. (Driving from CO. Best I could do.) Would that mean I couldn’t even walk into DC on Wednesday morning?
I just read that the Hotel Herrington is canceling reservations of guests for 1/6....this is one way to "shut us down." However a fellow member stated that we are a resourceful bunch and that people would be bringing food trucks, BBQ pits, passing out water etc and that we would be ok even if rooms got cancelled.
