As a result bitcoin began to tank hard as transactions ground to almost a halt due to lack of mining power and bitcoin cash pumped to almost the same level as Bitcoin, then 24hrs later once everyone was convinced and started dumping bitcoin and buying bitcoin cash, the chinese did huge Shorts on Bitcoin cash and huge longs on bitcoin and switched the miners back to bitcoin. As a result bitcoin cash crashed back down to earth and bitcoin went back to where it was and in the process the chinese became very rich. This is why crypto is like gambling. You hear of people getting lucky and making huge profits but just like gambling, those profits that went to that winner were funded by the losses from dozens of others. Just look at the charts. Bitcoin has gained like over 100% value in like less than two months and that is very artificial inflation. If the 4 biggest private holders of USD got together and sold all their USD, they would be lucky to drop the world USD price by a couple of cents. But if the 4 biggest private holders of BTC got together and dumped it, it would cause a crash of the market of like over 50% and then when everyone else starts panicking and selling it drops further, then those 4 people all at once buy up big and the price sky rockets and they make huge profits.
