The Constitution is many things, but it is not a suicide pact. We dont have to turn it over to a demented kiddie fondler who is bought and paid for by the Chinese government just because he is better at cheating than we are at playing fair. Pence can simply refuse to open the certificates that are known to be false. There is no appeal and no penalty for any action that he takes. His power in this moment has been ruled nonjudiciable, meaning not even SCOTUS can reverse it or make him do it. He simply declares that no election has taken place. Where we go from there I dont know. Nobody does. We are clearly in uncharted waters.
