Republicans rely on working class, middle class and upper middle class donations in larger numbers to balance out the Democrat's plantation owners, er, billionaires. For the past few election cycles the Dems have out performed money-wise, even though the donations vs. results correlation is not as strong as in the past. That is the point of choking small businesses with SARS-CoV-19 pseudoscience and keeping big box and internet retailers working full speed.
