Huh? Not following this story or super well versed in 5g but it seems like a pretty bunkass technological 'advancement' which requires drastically increasing density of towers with very little benefits other than very precise location of every due to the high tower density
It uses a much higher frequency plus beam steering to make the connections to the tower more "focused" for lack of a better description.
No, the towers will not be drastically more dense, it'll just be the same density of towers. Bandwidth will be hugely expanded and orders of magnitude more subscribers will be able to use each cell.
What has gov't freaked out (and rightfully so) is Huawei providing the backbone equipment in the same way Cisco used to do. That would conceivably enable them to tap comms.
Gist is the people who squawk about "5G mind control" are usually very dim on the tech knowledge side, and this guy totally did not appear to be like that. That's my point.
Seems sketchy, who goes and blows themselves up over 5g when there's so much else going on the world...
The 5G nonsense bugs me. Anyone in the tech fields knows “5G spying” is for idiots who think cell phones run on unicorn farts.
And this guy was in tech.
(Mind you I’m not referring to embedded Spyware in 5G equipment ala Huawei)
