My mom is an aid in a nursing home. She's been in the same job for 30+ years and is a saint when it comes to caring for others. Saturday, a much younger aid refused to work in a wing of the home where several residents have tested positive. My mom was the only other aid and was forced to take the spot. She did it without argue, without gripe, without a single complaint. That's just who she is. She loves the residents she takes care of and they love her.
