THIS — people used to ask me if I liked the movie “Dead Poet’s Society.” I always said: “Meh...” you have a teacher that taught kids how to feel, but not how to be resilient. Your feelings can’t always matter and shouldn’t always matter. And maybe, there are things you can learn from the past and from art when you draw from the context of the time. When feeling replaces thinking, we’re fucked.
