Ok first the communication problem. No one would most likely have communication if done right as that would be priority targets. however that would be pretty hard but i know a milita group near me that all have radios on them at all times for communication and they heavily support trump
The media already convinces people we are the bad guys yet we still have a very sizable majority so that is kinda a given to be honest. This could be bad but would be counteracted by an active call to arms from trump
The military industrial complex is not the common soldier there would be infighting among that too also you gotta realize most of our military is civilian contractors and i know quite a few people on the military base near me that have said if trump said civil war the whole base would flip to our side. and from their stories they say about 40 to 60 percent would join our side if trump called for it
Now the internet thing is a problem and that would have to be done using a quick take over of internet companies and ISPs but that would be hard as that would pin us down to a single location so i agree with that one.
No one really likes Hollywood actors anymore that is literally why they are dying right now but yes they have more influencers and again that could be a problem
Now traitors on our side would be a problem and i understand that and that would be a hard one to combat but there would more than likely be traitors on all sides but yeah that could be a definite problem
They are definitely not a monolith they are already having a civil war in their own group amongst themselves they are definitely split trust me what populist progressives is not what the uniparty wants
It would most likely be populist progressives vs uniparty vs MAGA a 3 way civil war and its about 74 percent of republicans prefer MAGA and trust me you only need 1 to 5 percent of the population to rise up and it would be over. We actually are more likely to have the more experienced soldiers sure we might miss out on generals however veterans are more likely to support trump than republicans/uniparty
you didn't say this but mobilization would be extremely difficult honestly that would be the hardest part as people generally want to live and they want someone else to come save them. The only way i could see this hurdle being overcome easily is a direct call to arms from trump.
Another thing we own the majority of food guns and oil which are some of the biggest supply like hurdles they would have to get around.
so i would give our odds 60 percent after all that. the biggest hurdle being communication and internet and most of all mobilization. Albeit this heavily relies on trump calling for it but honestly i doubt a civil war will start if trump doesn't call for it as there is no other leader a majority of people would look up to.

I think from what I gather from this thread is that this time, things could be a lot messier with a lot more parties with different agenda. We could even see an ISIS terror group popping up.

The CIA, FBI, NSA, the deep state, Google drone programs, Artifical intelligence, DARPA, MIT scientists, they will use tech we don't have, I wonder how much that will be a factor. We might end up fighting something like Skynet lol. Unless we can have that too, but with the Internet and comms being a problem, it will be difficult to have the AI part.

I missed the standards thing trust me in war we would be unlikely to have many standards which would honestly be scary.

also look at the spanish civil war i suspect it would play similar just diffrent factions
