I was banned from ALL Costco's today for a year.
This happened in Washington. It started because I was with my wife and newborn and walked by a guy getting accosted by their security for not wearing a mask. I walked by him and said, "I'm with you bro" but then decided to turn around and stand beside him and let him know I had his back.
The best part is I was even wearing a mask--I know, lame, but I just wanna get in and get out with our shit when I'm with family. The useful idiots went back and forth with us, and the place is packed of course so it's not like they are actually following protocol anyway. These guys just want to bully people which we let them know loud and clear. A crowd sees this and is naturally forming, and a surprising amount of people were stepping in and saying they agreed with us too.
Eventually, we go our separate ways and I resume shopping for the next 30 minutes or so. At checkout, I see the head security guy is literally waiting for us and prevents me from buying the items and has called a cop. I speak with the cop and he agrees with me and is rolling his eyes at the situation. He told me they will never arrest anyone for not wearing masks and said even if I trespassed they wouldn't book me in jail...not like I'm going to test those waters. The security dbag said that we were having an organized protest in the store (I didn't know the other guy) and the cop takes my side of the story, shook my hand, and let me on my way. The problem was he had no control over the ban.
Fuck Costco for getting rid of the polish and it's actually relieving to know I can't even go there for the next year and gladly took my shopping elsewhere.
All I know is it felt good to push back on this, even if it's a silly little story. The random people supporting us during and after was motivating. I just think more and more of us need to chip away at this bullshit.
The main thing I hate about these fucking masks is that a lot of people are just like that douche who called the cops.
I held up the line at Starbucks Drive thru for about 10 mins, they refused to give me my drink untill i put on a mask. I didn't have one so this bitch hands me a mask to wear, i drop it immediately and tell her to give me my drink not a damn mask!
The entire staff dropped what they were doing and stormed the drivethru window to REEEEEEEEE while threatening to call the cops on me. At this point I just turned off my car and sat there. I ended up getting my covfefe after they realized that im not going to wear a face diaper.
"No, I'm exempt."
Lol man this makes their head asplode, it's great.
When they push back, "Thank you for your concern but I can't wear a mask due to a medical condition. Wearing a mask COULD KILL ME!"
Man they hate having to accept it, but most places do accept it. Except costco, who literally has a policy stating that they will deny entry to those with medical conditions.
Isn't that an ADA violation?
