And he could rent it out cheap, because he wouldn't be losing anything by it. He'll still keep all the assets. If you damage a good, you pay extra for it, of course.

He could undermine hotels by offering a cheaper alternative, make a good chunk of money, and not really lose anything in the deal.

Maybe start a lucrative side business in selling custom cots for camping in the future.

You think he's able to sell used sheets from a tent? Tent costs? He'd also require bathroom and sanitizing facilities to get a permit for masses, regardless of chinavirus
