By large, I mean Krakatoa type shit, which was in 1883. Mt Pelee in 1902, Mt Katmai in 1912. Let us not forget the Tunguska event in 1908 which ejected tons of debris up into the stratosphere. It's been pretty quiet volcanically since then. That's the main reason we're a little warmer.
