Right... My neighbors lost their job when the factory they worked at for 15 years closed... It was only supposed to be temporary but here we are 5 months later and they are on the verge of losing everything because they only make 237 a piece from unemployment.... They have kids and they both collect that much... THAT'S NOTHING!! Not even half what they were making... And that factory was their home away from home so they kept waiting for it to reopen and now they are just fucking stuck! One of their cars broke down and they can't afford to fix it.. I had to help get their kids Christmas presents.... It's not their fault they were perfectly happy with their station in life!! .... I think only the unemployment and eviction moratorium should have been extended.. then you know only the people with no job are getting it and you know people won't be kicked out.... I have personally seen what this has done to people and it fucking sucks!! These are good people, hard workers and just want to live their life and it's being destroyed purposely.... They are talking about using this new 300 on top of unemployment to move to a better area so they can find jobs but that's not guaranteed either ya know??... Shit is closed EVERYWHERE
Shit is closed everywhere, but if you actually talk to the small business owners, they are all desperately hiring and constantly short staffed because everyone is afraid of a damn flu. Tell your friend to go job hunting. I personally know of a handful of small businesses that have doubled their starting pay and still can't find enough people.
