A friend has an RV and wants to road trip it up all the way from California, but large vehicle logistics on the east coast isn't my greatest strength. Obviously we can't just park the RV in DC somewhere and walk to the capitol. I'm hoping someone has already looked into this and can provide some advice for what to do after showing up in the greater DC area at the end of a very long road trip.

College Park metro station has a large parking lot that costs 5 bucks a day. You must leave and come back once a day or the Metro Cops will run you off.

The area is fairly safe as there are government offices and industrial uses in the area.

Large Police presence with call boxes all around to provide safety for U Of Maryland students.

There is an Ikea close by and that would be a good place to park.

Can take the bus or the train.
