However, 11% of Independents also chose Trump, and 21% of the total polled offered no response at all, so there were actually far less than 380 Republicans (37.5% of total) polled.
1018 * 0.79 = 804 responded
804 * 0.18 = 145 respondents chose Trump
145 / 48 * 100 = 302 maximum (30%) Republicans polled if only Republicans chose Trump
11% of Independents chose Trump, meaning total number of Republicans polled was less than 30% of the original 1,018 polled.
Conclusion: Said poll is not representative of the US population at all.
