Not quite. He has partaken of small amounts of alcohol on social occasions (glass of champagne for example).

I have heard zero alcohol, total teetotaler, except for times he's had wine at communion.

“When we go in church and I drink the little wine, which is about the only wine I drink, and I eat the little cracker."

So, you were there and can prove that it was actually alcohol that he partook in? GTFO.

If he said he never drank, then I will take his word for it. His brother Fred died from alcohol complications. Trump saw what alcohol abuse does to a person first hand and he vowed to never do so.

Imagine what dirty secrets Trump knows from not imbibing when hobnobbing with the rich and powerful of all kinds at the many functions he has attended over his lifetime.

Now imagine why so many of those people hate him so much because of the powerful position he is in.

It is grape juice, not wine. Trump is saying that because that is what everyone says even though they know it is not wine.

Possibly the case (but not always) but the important bit is the "about the only wine I drink". The way that is phrased is that there are other times he drinks wine too. If you want to suggest that that is grape juice too, for some reason, then I guess there is not anything more to discuss.

Note also the grape juice narrative is to not take Trump at his word (I have certainly taken communion with real wine myself so he could be being literal). So which is it?
