History is full of instances of cops acting as oathbrealers and squashing civil liberties, both under orders and of their own individual volition. They will do the same on Jan. 6 and will be ordered to suppress Trump supporters and leave Antifa alone.

Katrina was a cluster fuck by their mayor and the sitting LA governor. Period. The Blue was outnumbered there. There was no ANTIFA in N'Ola at that time (Aug 23-30, 2005). One of the earliest antifa groups in the U.S. was Rose City Antifa, which was formed in Portland, Oregon in 2007.
So your argument that cops are the good guys is "these two instances of cops choosing to cram down on civil liberties are unrelated and you didn't include both in your op therefore cops are good."

The majority of cops, particularly in blue states, are oathbreakers. They will deprive you of your civil liberties, they will take your guns, they will silence you, they will confiscate your property when you are doing nothing illegal and they will enforce unconstitutional laws. They have been doing it for decades, they aren't going to stop now.
